Battery of the Mitsubishi Outlander version : 12 kWh

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is equipped with a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery for 2019 and later models. The battery cells are nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) based. The battery consists of 96 cells which have a capacity of 120 Ah respectively. The nominal voltage of the battery is 355 volts.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is equipped with a fast charging system capable of charging the battery up to 80% in about 25 minutes using a CHAdeMO fast charging station. In slow charging mode, the battery can be charged at a maximum of 3.7 kW of alternating current (AC), which can recover up to 100% of the battery charge in about 3.5 hours.

In electric mode, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV from 2014 to 2018 has an electric range of 52 km (NEDC cycle) and a maximum speed in electric mode of 120 km/h. The battery can also power an additional electric motor to drive the rear wheels, allowing it to operate in four-wheel drive mode when needed.
