Manufactured by Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes GLA is a plug-in hybrid compact SUV. Its initial launch dates back to 2014, when it quickly gained popularity thanks to its clean looks, responsive performance and premium comfort.

In terms of performance, the Mercedes GLA combines a 75 kW electric motor with a 160 hp 1.33-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, for a total output of up to 218 hp (160 kW) and 450 Nm of torque. In electric mode, its range varies between 63 and 70 km, with fuel consumption of 166 Wh/km.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 220 kph. In fully electric mode, speed is limited to 140 km/h.

The Mercedes GLA’s battery, with a usable capacity of 10.9 kWh, can be charged using both alternating and direct current.

Using a Type 2 connector, it can be recharged to a maximum of 7.4 kW in alternating current (AC), enabling it to be charged to 100% in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Note that its AC charge is single-phase.
For rapid direct current (DC) charging, it is fitted with a CCS connector offering a maximum power of 22 kW, giving a charge time of 25 minutes.
