Find out more about the Peugeot 508
Launched in autumn 2019, the Peugeot 508 PHEV is assembled by the manufacturer in Mulhouse on the same production lines as the classic gasoline and diesel versions. Available in sedan or SW station wagon, it is approved with 54 km of range in electric mode.
Also based on the EMP2 platform, the 508 plug-in hybrid combines a 180-litre PureTech 1.6-litre petrol engine driven by an 8-speed automatic transmission with an 80 kW electric motor unit. It is only available in two-wheel drive and can have up to 225 horsepower.
The driver can choose from four driving modes: Electric, Sport, Hybrid and Comfort. E-Save is also present and allows the user to “store” the battery’s electrical energy for future use. In 100% electric mode, the 508 PHEV is capable of driving up to 135 km/h.
