Battery of the Opel Ampera-e version : Ampera-e

The Opel Ampera-e is equipped with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery, making it one of the largest battery packs on the electric vehicle market. The battery consists of 288 lithium-ion cells, which are grouped into 5 modules. Each module contains several lithium-ion cells, optimizing charge and discharge management.

The battery’s nominal voltage is around 350 volts, guaranteeing sufficient power to drive the electric motor and ensure optimum performance. The chemistry used in the Ampera-e’s battery is lithium-ion, which offers good energy density, long life and excellent stability.

The Ampera-e’s 60 kWh battery provides a remarkable range of up to 520 kilometers, according to the WLTP homologation cycle. This gives drivers great freedom and the ability to make longer journeys without having to worry about frequent battery recharging.
