The DS9 is the new premium sedan from the French brand DS Automobiles. It is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, called DS9 E-TENSE. This hybrid version of the DS9 features a PureTech gasoline engine combined with an electric motor that allows it to develop a combined power of 225 horsepower.

The DS9 E-TENSE is available in several versions, the 225 and the 4×4 360. Each of these versions is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 15.6 kWh which offers a range in electric mode of 48 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. The charging time of the battery depends on the type of charging station used, but it is possible to charge it in about 2 hours using a charger with a power of 7.4 kW.

The DS9 E-TENSE also features an eight-speed automatic transmission for a smooth and comfortable ride, as well as many advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, the automatic emergency braking system and the automatic parking aid.

The DS9 e-tense 225 plug-in hybrid is equipped with a 15.6 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery consists of 240 lithium-ion cells and has a nominal voltage of 300 volts. Each cell has a capacity of 52 Ah and a nominal voltage of 3.75 volts. The battery weighs about 180 kg.

The DS9 e-tense 225 plug-in hybrid can be recharged using a standard home outlet or a public charging station. Using a standard home outlet, it takes about 7 hours to fully charge the battery. With a public charging station, the battery can be charged 100% in about 2 hours.
