Due to go on sale in June 2020 and replace the C-Zero electric model, the electric Citroën C4 will be the first Citroën model to be equipped with PSA’s new electric technology. With its enhanced compact sedan silhouette, it offers a range of over 300 kilometers.

Like the Peugeot e-2008 and DS3 Crossback, the ë-C4 is based on the e-CMP platform. It is powered by a 136 hp (100 kW), 260 Nm electric motor. Installed on the front axle, it delivers a top speed of 150 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 9.7 seconds.

Battery of the Citroën ë-C4 version : 50 kWh

As for the battery, the ë-C4 electric uses the same pack as other PSA Group models. Cumulating 50 kWh of energy capacity, 46 of which is useful, it is positioned in the floor of the vehicle so as not to truncate on-board space. In terms of range, the automaker promises up to 350 km in the mixed WLTP cycle.

As for recharging, it can be plugged into either a domestic socket or a wallbox. A 7.4 kW on-board charger comes as standard. With the right wallbox, it can be fully charged in 7.5 hours. As an option, an 11 kW charger is available for a charge time reduced to 5h00.

Compatible with so-called “fast” charging stations, the new Citroën C4 electric allows up to 100 kW of charging power via the combo protocol. It recharges to 80% in around 30 minutes.
