The Peugeot 308 Sedan is available in gasoline and diesel versions, but also in plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version is equipped with a 1.6L PureTech 150 hp petrol engine combined with an 81 kW (110 hp) electric motor.

Common to both versions, the lithium-ion battery has 12.4 kWh of energy capacity. In 100% electric mode, the new 308 can travel up to 60 km in WLTP cycle.

Located on the left rear wing, the charging hatch houses a type 2 connector. The 308 hybrid plug-in comes standard with a 3.7 kW charger. It allows a charge in 7 hours on a domestic socket and in 4 hours with a reinforced installation. Optionally, the 308 can be equipped with a 7.4 kW charger. Subject to having a suitable terminal, it will allow a full charge in less than two hours.
